Restoration & Refurbishment Our initial efforts at securing the roof of the
building have been successful, although they have taken all our
reserves (see roof repairs).
Nevertheless we still have a continuing programme of urgent works.
The Quinquennial Survey carried out in August 2006 put the cost
of necessary work at £76,500, include the following:
- Repairs to water damaged plaster (see below)
- Redecoration of the interior
- Complete rewiring of the electrical installation
- An improved lighting scheme
- New central heating boiler
- New furnishings, particularly comfortable seating
- Repairs to floors
- External redecoration and minor repairs to gates and
boundary walls
- Pollarding of trees
- Work to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act.
